    I was sad with my first wine. Thought all kinds of things were wrong. Welches wine...not even a kit. After 3 weeks in bottels it is night and day differance. All my friends loved it.....no bottels left to go 6 months. Now...im on a 2nd batch. Rasberry version. It is clearing now....Cant wait...

    ...im a tad ocd...if I have to toss it in trash abd be 1 short a case ....it will bug the **** out of me...same if i buy a wine and just replace it with a diff bottel.

    No on the gravity reading sorry. Recipe was kind of a Frankenstein deal. I mixed White Grape along with Grape/Raspberry juice cans. I seem to remember I used about 4-5 cans of the White Grape/Raspberry and like 4/5 cans of White Grape. I also took 5 lbs. of frozen raspberries and put them...

    ... do you not worry about droping them in and it cracking the glass? Is this for smallger jugs only? Say I have a 6 gal carboy.... can I put 6lbs of marbles in there? Just dump em in?

    Im worried about it being ruined....fact that there us a tad of foam. I see more than 1/4 inch at bottom....I will rack again tomorrow.

    Cherry Wine

    Any ideas on how to go about doing a cherry wine? Where to get some jucie? I can mix it with white grape. About my only source would be Cherry Pie Filling in cans...with no corn surgars etc. Any have a Recipe for a Cherry flavored wine of some kind?

    Fist Wine Project - Update

    Noob question....on my 5gal carboy.....I back sweetend 3 days ago. I have the volume about 1" away from the air lock. I REALLY wanna try a good glass of this.... should I fight the tempation or would it be ok to pull say.... a good wine theifes fill off it (would create more air in there).

    Well... I looked at my air locks. There are no bubbles going....so it has been more then 24hrs since i back sweented.... is there anything I need to worry about or can I just go for it in a few days and bottel?

    So yesterday I elected to rack my Welches Grape yesterday. This was the 2nd racking. THIS TIME it was "CLEAR". Looked great! I lost about 1 bottle worth off the bottom do to what had settled. I placed all of this into another bottle to see if I can get it to settle again to get a few more...
