    It seems to be in the first couple of batches, partial boils, 2 brown ales and a pale ale. All have been extract with steeping grains. Ferment temps are all 70-72. I dont really have much control over that in my situation, and im lazy, after listening to some podcasts Ive decided to try to...

    Im still a newb to the homebrewing im on extract batch number 6 last 3 have been full boils at least and i dont believe cleaning or sanitation to be a problem. So far beers have been very well recieved, and no one has ever mentioned this. But i smell a very sweet smell almost like a urinal...

    propane burner inquiry

    Just made a 5gallon extract batch today (started at 6.5gallons), from beginning to end (60min boil) used 2lbs 7oz of propane, one gallon weighs 4.2lbs, so I average about 8 beers per 5 gallon tank. I use a SQ14 bayou classic burner. Not the fastest, but doesnt burn wort and seems economical...

    Show us your Kegerator

    Added a hinged lid to an ice cream cooler. Threw on a refer thermostat and a thermometer. Keeps em cold, holds 2 5gallon cornys and a 5lb co2 bottle. Hopefully get some taps in there soon.

    The amount of water and higher or lower gravity (depending on what your talking about) of the boil dont make a bit of difference for isomerization, its been proven. A few episodes of basic brewing radio on itunes covered it.
