    Quick help and suggestions

Yep that would do it. An increase in the temp and slightly jostling the yeast may have gotten some back into suspension causing it to take off again. This should make for a better brew in the long run as your fermentation may have been stalled or incomplete otherwise. Good luck

    New brewer from Fenton MI

I am close to you in Holly and venture into Fenton quite a bit. Already met another brewer from the Burton area. We should meet up someplace and have a brew. Fenton Fire Hall has free pool on the rooftops in the summer and great beers on tap.

Another nearly extinct beer worthy of note

Very interesting, the more reading I have been doing and research I have been more intrigued by some of these forgotten beers. Especially since Porters which are one of my favorite beers was once considered extinct as well. I have not ventured into AG yet but when I do, I plan to definitely give...

    UH OH... Fermentation explosion. Help/pics

I recently had a Mudslide Chocolate Milk Stout blow the lid off my primary and spray krausen and beer up the side of a dresser. I ended up quickly resealing the lid, switching it to a blow off tube like you did and setting two 30lb dumbells on the lid to help stop it from doing it again since...

    Quick help and suggestions

Hey, I'm still fairly new to the ball game but I have learned the hard way on my first couple batches by rushing them wanting to taste them and have others experience my brew to know that patience is a virtue.

    Secret ingredient... Toddler Slobber???

Too funny, good to know it worked out. I have an overly helpful 2yr old and a very curious bully girl that love to hang around during brewing sessions.:cross:

    Quick help and suggestions

Trying to hit a specific date/event can be the easiest way to ruin a brew without allowing it to properly ferment and condition. If it is still bubbling then it not ready for bottling yet. Like the others said let it ride and then allow enough time in the bottles for carbonation and conditioning...

    Hello from Michigan!

Fenton is a nice area, Holly is really just a small town but has a nice downtown area with a couple great pubs and a new brewery going in. Mt Holly is a big attraction in the winter months if you are a skier/snowboarder. I'm not however, I would much rather be out on my boat fishing with a...

    Hello from Michigan!
