    4mm ID Beer Line (EVABarrier)

Anyone have any experience going with line that has an ID of 4mm? Seems like it would have a lot of resistance but BrewHardware seems to recommend it: https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/evabarriertubing4mm78.htm Curious if the length he's suggesting of 7.8 ft is good for a 31 degree keg...

Spike Conical- observations and best practices

When I empty it, I wheel it out to my driveway for cleaning....it's just used for that....once it's clean it goes back into the freezer and never is moved until the next clean.....I wheel the boil kettle over to my CF to fill it

I even use a site tube when I rack and that thing is really long:

Yes because if you look, the CF is turned kinda sideways (more of a 60 degree angle really) in order to have the triangular base plate be flush against the back wall....tons of room

What's the secret to brewing a REALLY clean tasting IPA?

Temp control and oxidation has been well covered here so I'll leave that alone. But I would also ask about your brewing method? I assume you're doing all grain, otherwise there's nothing more to say. Since I switched to where NOTHING touches my beer except stainless steel, glass, and silicone...

It is the short legs yessir. And with the short legs my corny kegs are still under the racking port so it makes racking easy. It’s actually a freezer/fridge convertible. Has a dial inside to use it as either/or. It does indeed fit a CF15. I’ll grab the mode number when I get home.

In my opinion a stand up freezer with a temp control is by far the easiest.....found this guy used on craigslist for $100....heres my set up with my CF10....what I do is actually stick the temp control probe IN the thermowell (with the analog thermometer removed) and set the temp of the fridge...

    2 CF5's = twice the cleaning......and I HAAATE cleaning..... honestly I don't even see how this is a debate.

If you must have the Thermowell on 5 gal batches in a CF10 then just use the sample port for you thermowell instead.....I rarely use my sample port anyways when the racking port will do just fine for that purpose.... problem solved

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

So aside from the fermentation......moving into the lagering stage, do y'all see any issues with just lagering in the conical over the yeast cake? I plan on only lagering for a month.

Further loss of beer, further influx of oxygen pulled into the blow off tube?

So I have a Marzen that is lagering in my CF10 on the yeast cake.....my plan is to leave it for 3 weeks....any issues just leaving it in the CF or should I rack it to kegs and lager in those instead?

I just don't see the point in not future proofing your system.......one of my biggest regrets was buying all new equipment to go from 5 to 10 gal batches.......new boil kettle, new fermenter, etc.....I dunno, maybe me and my buddies drink beer WAAAAY faster than y'all but I'll float a 5 gal...

    Obnoxious Football Trash Talk Thread

    Which electric controller?

I own the Wort Hog from High Gravity and its a fantastic little controller......however I agree that they are overpriced. Feels like it should be $300....$500 is asinine and I wish I had cheaper options at the time of purchase like the Brew Commander
