DeRoux, I actually looked into the homebrewers class in Durango. It is next week the 25-29. The syllabus looked awesome, but I couldn't swing the $1200 class fee. I will have to see what the $100 class is in Chicago.

I've said this before, dump Star San on your weeds outside and they'll be dead in two days (burnt, brown, dead). No microrganisms are going to live in a bottle or bucket using Star San. I doubt there is enough residue in a bottle to hurt a human inbibing beer, but it does hell on the lawn.

Bottling is a love-hate relationship. I love to bottle because I am about 2 weeks or so from drinking my sweet creation. However, I hate bottling because of the bottle sanitizing and time. Lately, my wife has started to help on bottling night. I am happy to have her help, and if she shows...

I've always wanted to take labels and coasters and set them in a bar and pour epoxy over them. I think that would look cool.

I use a no-rinse cleaner. I dumped my 5 gallon bucket in the front yard and the cleanser (1Tsp) burned the hell out of the grass. So, I'm pretty sure it will kill any microrganisms in bottles, buckets, etc.

Though certainly not necessary, the best $10 I spent was on an automatic syphon.
