    Hop schedules

Bittering, flavor, and aroma. Could or why would you want to do a bittering at let's say 60 minutes then at 30 minutes and at 8 minutes then 2 minutes. Splitting them up like this does it make any difference then just doing a 60 min. 15 min. And a 2 min.

    Disappointed with Austin Homebrew Supply

Good to hear from AHS about the problem people are having. I too had to split my order between AHS and Midwest brewing because of out of stock at AHS.

    Temp. during active fermentation

That makes sense. I need to install a thermometer in my fermentor.

    Pitching two different yeasts

Thanks for all of the good info. That makes a lot of sense. I think I'll just pitch the cream ale yeast.

What type/kind of priming sugar are you using?

    Pitching two different yeasts

My thinking, may or may not be correct but using so little of the US05 will not have that much of an effect on it or dominate the entire cell count. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

    Pitching two different yeasts

I'm brewing an Ale and using WLP080 cream ale yeast. What would be the outcome if I rehydrated about 1/4 of a pack of US 05 and pitched it along with the WLP080? How much of an effect will the US 05 have only using 1/4 of a 11.5g pack. There may be no need to do this but I want to make sure I...

Can I do a bock-ish beer at ale temps?

http://www.austinhomebrew.com/product_info.php?cPath=178_452_42_166&products_id=367 I brewed this exact one and is excellent. It's an Ale and has very good malt taste. To me it is a lot like Shiner Bock in taste.

WLP002 English Ale = very high flocculation?

White Labs English Ale WLP002 This is a classic ESB strain that originated from one of England's largest independent breweries. Flocculation: Very High Is there any special attention I need to give when using this yeast with the flocculation being so high? I'm brewing an English Pale Ale.

I'm brewing extracts and grains. Not too many grains, I'm keeping it simple. I'm buying my brew stuff from Austin homebrew supply. Where are you from?

No problem here. The Texas Blonde is a Golden Ale, nothing too fancy. I'm keeping it simple the first few batches. And that would be Bryan.

I'm not quite sure what you mean "what I did with it". I bottled it a week ago and going to let it set for about three more weeks.

Hello, I've been reading and searching on here for answers to my questions with good results. I finally decided to register today and make it official. I started brewing about a month ago for the first time and bottled my first batch about a week ago. I can't wait to try it. My first...
