    Apfelwein carbed itself in kegs

    Their all over a year old? I'd be doubtful it would help adding new yeast just complicate the taste and be hard for yo to transfer it from the corny to another container and back to clear sediment with it being carbed. Oxygenation would be an issue i think. This is a educated guess :P

    Magnums pear cider is the best kit I've tasted when i friend did it. Not sure how closely it taste like Kopparberg.

    1 pack will do just fine :) Two pack could take you a many more week for the yeasty taste to go away

    Okay, Well i followed instructions on the pack. I gather these's arnt the best to do. (Mexican lager) bold part is what i think should of been done compared to the instructions It says 4 - 7 days in primary untill two days of consistent gravity. Should this be around three weeks? Bottle now...

    I tried my English bitter and mexican lager, After a week and a half in bottles for Mexican lager stopped tasting funny/yeastie (almost earthy) And now taste like a still flat light lager (hopeully will carb more!) The english bitters that is in a keg is starting to lose the "earthy" taste...

    Arh i see i think i'll go with the air method for now. On the old keg i was given it had a co 2 in put and a out put that you needed to turn with a alankey.. it also had a smaller fitting tap. I'm guessing he used to have them rigged together at some point, I'll have to see how he did it

    Ok I've brought a plastic keg. I used a 8g co2 bomb and soon as it went in the tap started to slowly drip constantly until i poured of two pints (which removed all the pressure because i obviously couldn't leave it dripping out. Any suggestion in relation to this. Is it my a problem with the...
