I'm trying to find a inexpensive source for 1/2" stainless locknuts and washers that come with bulkhead fitting kits. These have a groove in them for an o-ring. Anybody know of a good source. The home stores seem to be a dead end. Here is what our friend at BargainFittings.com offers, but...

That's a pretty ingenious idea using a stainless steel colander. Did that work well? It has to be a lot less expensive than false bottoms.
