I was thinking that you were stirring throughout the sparge. I was told to only stir to mix well and to even out temp, let mash for a hour then fly sparge without touching grain bed. So you stir again before the sparge ? It makes sense to me, but I wonder now why I told not to stir. Huh !

I thought stirring releases unwanted starch, tannins etc. scratching my head now !

My first AG I used the fly sparge method mostly because I didn't know any other way. 15.5 keggle with AIB false bottom, it sits almost 4" off the bottom and was wondering if this distance makes any difference at all. OG was 1.052 FG 1.010 so I was happy at my first attempt. Dont want to jack...

Very happy with the blichmann and would recommend anyone buying one if you get the chance, I am going to get another when my bank account allows. Not having to use a second fermenting vessel is the only way to go. :mug:

Have ordered many times lately from "adventures in brewing" shipping has been fast and well packaged. Highly recommended for keggles. I bought two and they are in great shape and the welds are very nice, should last forever. They forgot valves on a propane hose setup, but fixed my problem right...

Newbie also but couldn't milling adversely effect the OG and final problems of weak wort.

I bought a magnetic march pump with a bronze housing and it nice quality but was a pain to get primed , you have to use 1/2 Id hose and make sure it's mounted so the air burps out of the pump on the pickup side or it won't prime on its own, rated for 250f though, nice thing about a magnetic pump...

Call them, mine has never leaked. Put a little silicone food grade grease on the o- ring and it will last for years. Mine is new but buddy has had one for years and never leaked, if the o ring is dry and you rotate it that's your problem.
