    Returning Kegerator to Costco's!!

Had the same problem with a danby. Had a auto defrosting feature that would freeze my beer. Sucked up and bought a Beverage Air and never had a problem, It has a cooling tower so every beer is cold and it holds temp at plus or minus 2 degrees. But it takes a bit out of your wallet at $1600...

Word of warning : Don't Leave Full CO2 Tanks in Hot Car!

Agree. Sounds like to me the pressure relief was weak and not the tank being over filled. You should never have a burst disk rupture on CO2 tank at 100f in a car. My math shows me at least 275f might do it but uncertain. But at 100f its safe in a car filled to max.

    Lubricating cam-locks?

This may sound like a smart a%& answer but not meant to be. If you push in firmly as you push cams down it should close easy, If not use a bit of graphite lube on the cam lobe. Being careful not to spray any in the fitting. Graphite lube is very heat resistant and lasts for years.

    Star san

I mix my star san according to directions in a spray bottle and just use that to spray everything after its cleaned with soap and water. No rinse as everyone else already said but just remember it doesnt take much. don't over do it.

beer is too bitter - how to fix it in secondary?

Conditioning seems to work for bitter beers. I dont know maybe my taste buds are screwed up from crap beer before i started AG. But i made a ESB that was pretty bitter, two weeks on CO2 in a cornie and it was gone.

    Too much head space?

Tip: run a CO2 line into your secondary and purge out any O2, I let the CO2 run for about 15 seconds and then add the beer carefully to secondary.

Who fly sparges ? What's your technique ?

These are great ! Thanks for the video and link, It appears in the video that the sparge is missing the outer area of the mash, Is this any problem. I normally keep my sparge water about 1-2 iches above the grain bed for less channeling, You system looks great, Will give it a try. I like the way...

    Are you fit or fat?

I'm in denial :cross: getting fit is way overrated ! Been the same weight since I was 17 and drink and eat whatever I want. Just work my arse off at home and sleep at work. Only open my eyes when flying for my job.

    Silicone Tubing & street elbows

1/2 barbed end into a female cam lock works great for me. Just be concerned about tearing the silicone tubing, tears easily but last a very long time. Half inch fittings and half inch Id on all my stuff with a march pump works great.

    Saison recipe

Made a Belgian saison a month or so ago and also had a very surprising efficiency, mabe due to the candy sugar I added in the boil. Just remember saison is a slow attenuation beer, took 16 days for mine to finish at 82f, just don't rush it or you will end up with apple juice tasting beer, like...

Who fly sparges ? What's your technique ?

Interesting, because I filter my wort as I pump it from the mash tun through a painters filter bag into my boil keggles. Is there any advantage to putting it back into the tun.
