    Oxydation in larger fermenter

Anyone have any issues with fermenting small batches in larger than normal fermenter. Looking to buy a 15 gal plastic conical and i make alot of 5 gal test batches. Would i be ok if i purged the fermenter with CO2 or do i still run the risk of off flavors? Thanks Rock Chalk Chris

Beefed up input for CF Chiller

So ive been planning on building a CF Chiller and just got around to it. The only issue ive had with all the other designs is the use of the compression fitting at the end or just squeezing a tube on the end of the chiller. Never seemed that it wouldn't get kinked. I was going to do...

Can't build it... will this do?

Those heaters have two purposes that i know of. One is to keep water supplies warm for contractors in the winter (tile saws). And to keep water troughs for cattle and horses from freezing. Im not sure if you can set them high enough to boil wort. Rock Chalk Chris

    Control Panel Design

Bill What i have gathered is you could use either one. The choice is yours if you want to use the spa panel or a GFCI in the breaker box. They both provide Ground Fault protection and so far as i can tell the only difference is how you wire it and the price. Rock Chalk Chris

PJ Thanks again for the help. Right now my power supply is coiled up behind the wall where i would mount the spa panel so im thinking i could just hard wire it to it rather than using the dryer cord. I now plan to go this route so the extension cord from the panel to the control panel...
