    CT Brewers Check-In

Same over here. Go check out the we don't need your stinkin beer gun thread. I recently found some I bottled with a varied method after 5 weeks in a friends fridge and it was still carbed nicely. My method: -Flower the psi to barely any, around 1.5 - 2. -stick your sanitized bottle up to the...

Who is your LHBS here in CT?

Afaik, and have researched, it all depend on on premises vs off premis consumption. Brewpubs specifically brew their beer for on premise consumption or for sale for off premise ie growlers. And food is a requirement. So as far as brewpups go , they are the exception that bends the rule of a 3...

Another vote for maltose here. I've been a customer over there now for about 2 years I think. I'm in there twice a week Haha. They opened at some point when I was living in Boston and I always made an effort to stop in. Mark and Tess are great, and they have lots of new plans in the works as...

If I brew a batch of beer today, is it feasible to be drinkable by July 26th?

Short answer , yes very doable. But if you have a hiccup or any sort of delay then no.(slow ferntation) Always ask if your guests would prefer micro brew or macro migraines from the unfermented sugars.

When did it become manly to have a shaved chest.

To me, this way of think is the same as "a fats mans junk shrinks an inch for every extra 50 pounds" As is, look at abs or pecks that are covered in hair and then not. The one without will prob be more defined. That said, I have a 2" beard year round and grows like a beast. I have 1 curly q...

Specialty Fruit Beer Honey Apricot Ale

Yea that was my line of thinking as well. Ill admit, Im in a bit of a citra craze at the moment, and a change up would be nice. However I cant help but imagine a touch of tropics in the nose would compliment the apricots nicely.

Double IPA Kern River Citra DIPA

This one def mellows out in an extra week or two. Lots of tropics in the nose at first and soften out to a smoother mouthfeel. Ill prob end up keep this in rotation as well. Haven't heard a negative comment yet.

Specialty Fruit Beer Honey Apricot Ale

Might do this next. May sub half if the aroma addition with citra for aroma. Thoughts?

    My makshift keggerator build

Update. I got around to adding a shell. Plan is to built a wine rack on one side suitable for bottles and glasses(dads a wino), and the other side beer mugs and pint glasses. If you notice there's about 8" of space left on the back sides of the fridge. The racks(I'm thinking the cross cross...

Double IPA Kern River Citra DIPA

Personally, I'm a naturalist if you will. I don't use a hyrdometer(ill get around to it), and I have a very "some of this some of that" cooking/brewing style. I should note my beers get rave reviews among friends and guest, including blind tastes, but I've never entered one in competition...
