I bought two of these but haven't began to use them yet. http://www.tescopumps.com/servlet/the-275/809PLHS--809-809BRHS/Detail They do not have a plug on them. I can measure the inlet size when I get home.

Opinions Needed On My Electric Brewery Plans

The reason Kal can use 20AMP term strips is because the heating elements don't go through them. http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/control-panel-part-2?page=13 If you want to wire yours through them you will need 30AMP strips or higher.

    50 Amp 240V powering a "Kal Clone"

I am following the sticky at Kal's site, except I am only using two heating elements. I will use 30A fuses between the contactors and the element receptacles. http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24918

im an idiot...can somebody explain beersmith or where to find good tutorial?

I am fairly new to BeerSmith as well. I took the Pot and Cooler presets and worked from there. I would estimate your boil off at 1 gallon/hour. The tun deadspace is easy to measure(fill with water and drain then measure how much is left in the tun). The thing is you have keep adjusting your...

    Best pH meter?

I bought the Milwaukee 600 from a vendor on Amazon (not sure which). When it arrived the probe was completely dry (not sure if that is normal). I could never get a repeatable reading. I ended up throwing it away. I am currently looking at a more expensive model.

    Whirlpool Question

I am not arguing with your assumption, as I have not tried it myself. He does however address this on the linked page. Q: Can't I do this same thing using my counter-flow/plate chiller? A: Yes, you can. Several people have reported good results using their counter-flow devices. Just run the...
