    What's your favorite Micro brewery.

Me too! I think we should be getting royalties....or at least free beer :)

    Irish Stout Ó Flannagáin Standard

Yeah, thanks for posting and helping me out! I've really become a Stout fan this year, after years of not really being into them because I thought that Guiness was the end all of Stouts. Not really my thing. But after a few Samuel Smith's, and others...I'm hooked. I think I may try a Oatmeal...

    Irish Stout Ó Flannagáin Standard

Just finished my batch of this recipe. Smells and looks great! Hydro sample wasn't too shabby either! I hit the SG on the money, with exactly 5gallons going into primary. I'm stoked to have my second AG done, and much more successfully than the first.....except the fact that my a$$ is frozen!

    Artesian Well

Yeah, I use a Brita to filter. It tastes fine then. I've already made a couple of beers with the artesian well. One Smoked Porter, and EdWort's Haus Pale.

    Artesian Well

No, I'm not having taste problems. I just didn't want to start :p I liked the idea of the artesian well because I wouldn't have to worry about the chlorine and such, and it's free. The tap water at my house tastes terrible, so I don't really even want to mess with it.

    Dogs and gas

I know that with my Airdale, switching food made a big difference. I now buy Nutro dog food, which costs more. But he poops less, and farts less

    Irish Stout Ó Flannagáin Standard

Do you notice much activity with your starter for this? This is my first starter, and first liquid yeast, and I don't have much airlock activity going on in my 1/2gallon growler that I made the starter. I made the starter late last night, so it's been about 24hours. I hope to brew tomorrow...

    Artesian Well

Here's the website that I got this from. The whole water elements thing confuses me, so I could have read some of this wrong. http://www.slcgov.com/utilities/ud_8_south_artesian_well.htm

    Artesian Well

I have an artesian well right down the street from my house, and used the water for my first AG, EdWort's Haus Pale. I am going to do a Stout this weekend, and was wondering if based on the water makeup below, is there anything I should do to the water? I've read that many people use 5.2, seems...

    Gathering Equipment Question for AG

My first AG was a coupel of weeks ago, and it took me about 4-5hours. My second will be this weekend, and I think that I now have a much better understanding of the process and it should take 3-4.

    Beersmith

I'm learning Beersmith as well. I think, as with most software, the best way to learn it is to just play with it for a while. I've learned something new every day that I've opened the program.

ANYONE know where to get BOTTLES CHEAP?

There's an add on craigslist in SLC right now, the guy has cases of grolsch bottles and a ton of other 22's, 12ozers, etc. Check it out. I've found a ton of good deals on craigslist here recently. Also, The Beer Nut sells used Grolsch bottles for $1/ea, which is worth not having to cap in my...

Who uses a filtration system? (looking for some testimony)

    Vegan's don't deserve beer anyways.

    Irish Stout Ó Flannagáin Standard

How long did you let this sit in primary and secondary? Looks to me that ScubaSteve went from Brewday to drinking in 22 days? Is that right? Damn, I need to get my kegging gear.

    Anyone Brewing? - 11-30-2007

Not this weekend for me unfortunately. But next weekend I think I'm giving O'Flannagain's standard stout a go.

What to do with a Mr.Beer?

Dry hopping....I like it! With the prices of hops, dryhopping 2gallons is a good option!
