Pretty clever/funny shirt..."I'd dry hop that."

    That's a nice shirt alright.

    Foreclosed Brewery Grains (worth it?)

Wait, are you considering buying all of it? If you are going to drive 6 hours to get a ton and a half of grain and you don't even brew all grain then all I can say is ... I like the way you roll.

Want to upgrade to All Grain but have questions!!

A 10 gallon aluminum pot works fine for 5 gallon BIAB. 15 gallons is even better if you do really big (high gravity) beers. Of course the stainless steel stuff is really nice too. It's going to come down to personal preference -- where do you want to spend your money. But it's not going to make...

How Important is it to You That You Match Style?

If one of my beers matches perfectly a recognized style ... I probably screwed up.

    100F beer

The more I do this the more I'm surprised at what you can get away with and still have decent beer. Since you can't do anything about it at this point anyway and it tastes OK, let it ride and see what happens. Let's see ... no loss of life, there was no SWAT team involved, you don't mention...

    Failure to Launch a Brewery

Signs you might be a homebrewer .... you spend your honeymoon planning a brewery.

Here's how much it costs to grab a beer around the world

Yeah, anything over 3.5% can only be sold in government stores. They are also relatively highly taxed and the tax rate depends on the alcohol content. I've never been to Norway but I understand they have a similar system.

    Cloudy beer seems cool?

I also agree it's all about the taste. But that goes both ways. If a delicious tasting beer is hazy I'm good with it. But if it's crappy tasting and hazy, I'm not going to like it just because it's hazy. And I think that might be what the OP is getting at -- beers being made to be intentionally...

    Deere John.....

Kenny Rogers (Sorry to be picky but in a John Deere thread we gotta get our country music references right)

How portable is a typical kegerator?

It came with 4 caster style metal wheels. 3 inch diameter I think.

How portable is a typical kegerator?

I'm in the same boat -- wife said the kegerator had to be in the garage or basement. I tried putting some throw pillows and doilies on it and telling her it was a love seat but she didn't fall for it. My 2-tapper has wheels and is easy to move around. The problem is the stairs. The first few...

    Culling "Friends"

I've got a couple hundred acres of farmland and a backhoe. I'm good thanks. :)

    Culling "Friends"

I find it more effective to shoot at who's fault it is. (Hint: it's not the dog).

That would actually be a very interesting experiment. ... if you haven't already done one (hmmmm) :)

    Interesting German Brewing PDF

It seems like if I wanted to lower my efficiency there are easier ways to go about it than LODO. :) Cheers to the Brulosophy gang for looking at this. I think the study was well designed and the results presented clearly. A single study is never definitive, it's just one data point. Speaking...

Have I become a beer snob?

Understood ... and I get that approach. My wife is like that. I'm not allowed to buy gas at Exxon because of the Valdez spill. I can't buy gas at BP because of the gulf spill. I can't buy Shell because she got some water in her gas once. She has her principles and I respect that ... even though...

Have I become a beer snob?

If someone rather not drink beer at all then drink a good beer because it was made by an out of town brewer ... than yeah, that might be getting close to beer snob territory. Of course everyone is free to drink or not drink whatever they want.
