Thanks for the replies. I looked on McMaster Carr and couldn't find any lids. I also checked all the sticky rebuild sites. None of them had racetrack lids. It seams I should buy the ones I need from CHICompany before they go completely extinct.

I bought a bunch of incomplete kegs used. I was wondering if anybody knew were I could find racetrack keg lids. Their Firestone, the opening measures 3"x 3 15/16. So far the only place I've found is CHICompany.net. Or If you have some to sell even better.

Hi I just purchased 18 keg shells. 12 Firestone ball lock and 6 corny ball lock. I all ready have 14 pin lock kegs and everything I have is pin lock. My post for the pin lock don't work on either ball lock. Seeing as how I need to buy post for these new kegs I'd rather just get the pin lock...

I'd go electric for the long term savings. Gas is expensive and I'm guessing its going to keep going up. Also you don't need nearly as much ventilation, nicer in the winter months.

I would throw a sheet of concrete board against the wall by burner. But how much do you pay for gas? I'm starting my electric build and plan on saving at least 4$ a batch for heating and boiling a ten gallon batch. If this is going to be a long term brew room it's just something to think about.

How often do you take apart your rims tube to clean. I bought the 36" 240v heater and a 36" stainless 1" pipe to put it in. I was just wondering if it was worth it to get the 1" camlocks, or if just flushing it out was good.
