Subscribed... I'm willing to hear this out.

    Dissolving dry malt extract

I read somewhere that you need the sugar for hops to do their magic things. I'm no Walter White, that's just what I remember reading at some point.

    Dissolving dry malt extract

It's counterintuitive, but DME does not dissolve better/faster in hot water. I don't heat starters and the DME dissolves in seconds. If I'm doing an extract batch, I'll use about 10% of the DME in the boil. The other 90% gets dissolved in cold water and added at the end to help chill.

    Talk to me about seltzer...

Here's the latest picture of my seltzer. The raspberry is lighter than light, so a little Mio adds the additional flavor if desired.

    Measure alcohol in beer

You need to know your original gravity for the final alcohol reading then OG - FG x 131 = ABV For example, If my wort (before pitching yeast) is 1.052 and after it's done fermenting I end up with a gravity of 1.010. The difference is 0.042. I multiply that by 131 and I get 5.502 or 5.5% ABV.

New idea to identify beer/tap lines

That's neat. I used to just Russian roulette the lines. I printed 'left left left left left left left left' on my label maker and barber poled the line (same with middle and right). I like the tags though... Very clean.

Anybody dilute FINISHED Beer to lower ABV?

Kinda... I'm not a fan of IPAs or overly hopped beers, so I will dilute a hoppy beer with a Miller Lite or Shiner to tame it to an pale. This often results in a lower ABV. Depending what I have on tap (3), I may do a suicide. Kinda broadens the variety.

    Talk to me about seltzer...

You got it. I got the blackberry and the lime. Reviews did say it was too light for their liking, so I felt comfortable using the whole thing in a 3-gallon batch. Kinda surprised it was still that light. The lime was good though even though the batch I used it in was not.

    Talk to me about seltzer...

Totally forgot to update. I hate it when threads do that. Thanks for the reminder. This last batch turned out great. I'll have to take a pic and post next time I pour a glass. The crystalized blackberry is a little light, but the seltzer itself is great.

    Pumpkin beer flavored beer lines

Replace the lines. You can save the old ones until the fall and sell them to those that complain about 'not enough pumpkin' in their pumpkin ales. I think you can make a fortune.

    White Labs Purepitch

It's a pouch in a pouch, but you don't massage or smack it. I mean, you can if you want as long as nobody's watching.

    Graham Cracker Ale

Not really.. I mean, there were other things going on. I was mostly bummed that I couldn't get the marshmallow to come through, but I think that's a hard flavor to get. Here's my grain bill from my notes: 8 lb 2-row 1 lb Crystal 120°L 12 oz Chocolate malt 1 lb Flaked...

    Graham Cracker Ale

I guess mileage will vary. Maybe it just worked for me because it wasn't only graham cracker.

    Beer Line Cleaning

I clean mine about once a year or when switching to/from stout faucet.

    Graham Cracker Ale

Why not just use graham crackers? I made a S'mores porter with a box of crackers, lactose, and chocolate flavoring (in addition to chocolate malt) and the graham cracker was still the prominent flavor.

    Making Mill table thoughts

I think it's a great idea. I would think about mitigating the dust with a canvas sleeve or something though.

So, what does “IPA” really stand for?

Interesting Parking, A**hole I'd poon AnnaKendrick Iletarate Peeple is Awesom I think it means something in beer too.

    Poo karma

There are several dog walkers in my neighborhood. I've never seen one of them not pick up after their dog. That said, if it's trash day, one lady will untie my trash bags at the curb to throw her dog poop away in. I don't know why that bothers me. It's the rudest responsible thing I've ever...

how many kegs will a bottle of nitro beer gas serve?

That could be about right...maybe? I have a 40 cu ft and that normally lasts me 3+ kegs? I guess I never really counted. Hoping @day_trippr will chime in with wisdom on this. I generally lean on him for all things nitro.
