What hops you you use/keep on hand the most?

I too have 40+ pounds at any given time. My 'cannot go without' has to be: Citra Cascade Northern Brewer Fuggles Tet Magnum Willamette I really want these if they're available: Simcoe Galaxy Galena Columbus CTZ EKG Sterling ...then there's the other 30 pounds.

Chest freezer died. Would like something front load

I vote for upright freezer too. I got this one after I moved and couldn't be happier with it. I reinforced the shelves and set-up and InkBird on it. The clearance is about 24" for buckets, carboys, etc.

    Firestone/Racetrack keg lids

Was thinking the same thing. Can't leak if there's nothing to leak from *TIG noises*

    I hate grain mills

Sounds like you hate grain mill maintenance more than the mill itself. Try a full break-down and clean. If you can, flip the rollers around so they grab with the other side. It'll be like a new mill.

    Buying by the sack?

^^This. Nano/micro breweries are mostly retired homebrewers. As such, they often have no problem helping out.

    Hello from Salt Lake City!

Hey there! Your traffic is horrific, but your views and terrain are magnificent. Welcome to the club.

Making Labels - How d you do it?

At minimum, I write on the cap so small that I won't be able to read it later. Then I might do some Sharpie on painter's tape. If I want to go fancier, I'll use a "hello my name is" label. If I want to impress, I will laser print my label, hit it with a couple coats of clear, then cut it out...

BYO - no more printed magazines

I wish more magazines would do this, but they need to do it right. I don't want to log in and pay for viewing a website. If it's a digital form of the print version, I'm game. I had three milk crates full of magazines that hung onto for years. I found the same ones in PDF along with decades of...

First all grain under my belt

    Who’s your drinking buddy?

My dogs are by far the best drinking buddies.

    Love it! Thanks, man!

    Happy anniversary to me!

That's some childhood PTSD right there. That's what you get when your birthday is right before school starts and you're kinda poor... School clothes for your birthday!

    Collecting yeast after gelatin?

I collect yeast after using gelatin and for several generations I have not had a problem. I do keg. Not sure, but don't think bottling would make any difference.

    Happy anniversary to me!

While posting some incredible insight to another forum member, it looks like I had my 10 year HBT anniversary yesterday! Has it really been that long? I guess a big thanks to all who have helped me and a big you're welcome to all those I have helped. I'm sure that scale isn't the most balanced...

    Scorched grain bag

^this It shouldn't impart anything to the flavors, but now you have a weak spot. I'd get another bag. You can use your back-up back for the time being. Wait...what?!? You don't have a back-up bag?!? You're right...better get two then.

    Fiber in beer?

My guess is the same way as it went in.

    Got an urge to brag

That's a good brag. Nicely done.

    Co2 and keg tracking.

If we didn't feel the need to invent the wheel again, we wouldn't have two wheels :) I am not aware of an already made solution. As cheap as HX711s are, I would just make another scale.

    Co2 and keg tracking.

I haven't seen a soda stream bottle in person, but I'd assume the same way. There might/should be a tare weight of the bottle. You can track anything that is filled by weight with those HX711... Beer, co2, propane, etc.

    Fiber in beer?

Brewer's Yeast is already an available supplement for gut health. Since there's an abundance of it in our beers, I wouldn't want to over do it by adding fiber and possibly blow out an O-ring.
