Forgot key ingredient . .does it matter much?

Newbie question: How much would 2 cups of used kitty litter bump up the gravity? Can I also use it as a substitute for marbles to reduce head space in secondary? Thanks.

    Stuck Fermentation?

I have the same visible signs now at day 13. Just checked gravity and it's gone from 1.055 to 1.025 and sample tastes good. Seems to be much slower than ales.

First All Grain Brew plus first post

Had a good brew today. Good luck with the all grain but I can't wish the Rangers well. :) Lions 4-0, Wings 1-0, MSU & U of MI 5-0.

    Where's My Vodka Going?

Blame science. The latent heat of evaporation for pure ethanol is 364 BTU/LB and water is 970.4 BTU/LB. Or maybe the gnomes are mixing it with the energy drink that gives them wings. To keep them drunks away 1 oz tap water has worked fine.

    Stuck Fermentation?

It's okay. Mine took 48 hours till bubble action and it's now happy resting in a 2ndary fermenter (4th batch of WLP500). Also, make sure the lid is tight. This one takes a while and can gurgle for a week or two.

    A good feeling

I love a tasty homebrew. It's all up to tastes too. I love enjoy a double IPA and a RIS but others can't handle them.

    Temperature reached too high

Definitely keep the beer. Try an "ice bath" if you have the room. Throw in a frozen milk jug or two.

Keezer doubles as a Dry Aging Meat Cooler

Meat and beer in one fridge, I like it. I'd think if there was an interior drip tray you'd be okay.
