To me this ad insulted their beer drinkers than it did craft beer drinkers. Implying that they're unintelligent, have no taste, and only care about getting wasted.
They should past a legislation making it a requirement that breweries name the companies that own or are in possession of controlling shares in micro breweries for branding. Ie. Anheuser on a Bluemoon
It's not that the bottles cost a lot it's that as you all know the start up is a lot. I just got all of my equipment and ingredients so I am just trying to save a little where I can. I have saved a little more than a case of good bottles. But I also have two cases of twisties.
The lack of seal and loss of CO2 is why I figured I'd just wax over the caps, theoretically the wax will create an air tight seal won't it? And thank you everyone for the feedback

I thought I had a great idea to save money, I went to a local bar and got used bottles for free. Then I realized that they are all twist off's so they may not work. So my next great idea is can I use these twist off bottles if I wax the caps on?
Thank you all for your help. Let me make sure I've got this right, "instant oats" can be mashed straight away with the other base malts. And rolled or flaked oats need to be pre cooked and then mashed? A few extra steps I wasn't really planning on but that's ok
So are instant oatmeal's really good enough quality for brewing? And as for rolled and flaked oats do they really need to be pre cooked before the mash?
So I just realized that I ran into a problem. I plan on brewing this beer soon however my boil pot is only 6gallons, any suggestions? I just started getting all my equipment for Xmas so returns are out.
