    Growler Filler for Krome Faucets

Nice find! Here is the link: http://www.homebrewing.org/Jug-growler-filler_p_1682.html Just ordered one. Shipping was more than the product. Hate it when that happens. If you order, it defaults to UPS ground. You can select USPS priority though which is half of the UPS cost, but you have...

    Growler Filler for Krome Faucets

Did you ever find an adapter for your Krome taps? I am looking for the same. No luck so far.

Has anyone ever seen an adapter that fits the Krome Dispense tower faucets (non-Perlick)?

    Foothills Hoppyum IPA Clone

I haven't tried to make a batch of Jade. I've had a pint before and it's a good one. Post up your recipe if you give it a shot. Also let me know what you think about the Hoppyum recipe when it's done.

Cheap & Easy 10 Gallon Rubbermaid MLT Conversion

Found the post where I got the idea on the vinyl/silicone tube with cuts: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/cheap-easy-10-gallon-rubbermaid-mlt-conversion-23008/index7.html#post253344 Good luck!

Cheap & Easy 10 Gallon Rubbermaid MLT Conversion

I inserted a heat-resistant vinyl tube with notches cut in it inside the mesh. It was explained somewhere (with pics) back in the hundreds of pages somewhere. Sorry I don't have the exact post. So far it has worked for me. No crushed tube, no stuck sparges. I batch sparge.

Weissbier Bee Cave Brewery Bavarian Hefeweizen

I've brewed this twice. Sulfur smell during fermentation both times. It goes away. I've never had sulfur in the final product. I usually keg after 3-4 weeks in primary

    Foothills Hoppyum IPA Clone

Fantastic, we're practically neighbors! Lots of Homebrewers here in the Carolinas. We are very fortunate to have a LHBS with three locations! Definitely post a reply if you give this recipe a try, would love to hear any feedback.

    Foothills Hoppyum IPA Clone

I tried making one of my favorite IPAs from Foothills Brewing in North Carolina. Hoppyum IPA I created this recipe first off by using the stats on the Foothills Brewing website and from talking with a brewer. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the actual hop schedule and grain ratios directly...

Anyone have a recipe for a Sweetwater IPA or Foothills Hoppyum?

If anyone is still interested in a Hoppyum recipe, I created this recipe using the stats on the Foothills Brewing website and from talking to a brewer. Unfortunately I couldn't get the actual hop schedule and grain ratios. Also, when comparing side by side, one Hoppyum bomber had the same stats...

    Barley Crusher settings and efficiency

Thanks AZ. Are your BC dials set at 11 and 12:00?

    Barley Crusher settings and efficiency

I brewed my first two beers today with my new Barley Crusher instead of the LHBS crush and saw a drop in efficiency. Everything else being equal I went from 74-75% efficiency with multiple LHBS batches to 70-71% on the default factory settings for Barley Crusher. The dial settings for my crusher...

Whats the ideal beer for Charlotte NCs water???

You can see some of the Charlotte area water profiles on the Carolina Brewmasters website here: http://carolinabrewmasters.com/?q=Education I'm not really sure what style it would be suited to though. I know brewing software has well-known brewing cities water profiles that you can try to...

    Liquid Yeast = Higher Attenuation?

No, not the same recipes. Same style, same process, similar OG, similar ingredients. That's why I zeroed in on liquid being the reason for the higher attenuation. Obviously there are a lot of variables at play here. Not as simple as I thought. I have much to learn about the science of...

    Liquid Yeast = Higher Attenuation?

eh, I was afraid it wouldn't be a simple answer. Anyway, not really worried about it. I just found it very interesting to get such a high attenuation and low FG when using liquid + starter for the first time. At any rate, I like my IPA's to be dry and crisp. Guess I accomplished that well...

    Liquid Yeast = Higher Attenuation?

I just took final gravity readings on two batches of beer made with my first attempts at liquid yeast. I have made dozens of brews before, all similar recipes, using dry yeast packets. For comparison, my S-05 Dry yeast packs resulted in final gravity readings of about 1.013, roughly 79-80%...

    Blue Moon Clone

That's another variable. I converted to extract when I brewed this one. I used the same proportions of wheat extract and light DME as the all grain recipe. Steeped the specialty grains and boiled the oats for the last 15 minutes. I don't think the extract could account for the sweetness I was...

    Blue Moon Clone

I just finished a keg of Nilo's #4 using S04 dry yeast. It was a really good beer but I did not think it was really close to Blue Moon. It was much sweeter and had a lot more sweet orange flavor. I just started using liquid yeast and think I will try again using Wayne's recipe from the...

    Blue Moon Clone

I have always rehydrated dry yeast, but a couple of weeks ago I just pitched right on top. Worked fine. Make sure you cool down the wort and aerate well.

    All grain hefe experiment!!

I did 10 gallons of the Blood Orange Hefe you can see posted on HBT and wound up kegging after 10-12 days and it wound up being a fantastic beer. I have a German Hefe in primary now for about 2 weeks and will keg it in another week or two and reply with how that one turns out. Felt like...
