co2 psi keeps climbing with regulator at lowest setting

Did you guys buy from Beverage Factory? I bought a new setup and have experienced similar issues. I lost an entire batch of brew because my regulator over pressured the keg and beer flowed out the picnic tap... just curious if this might be related to Beverage Factory of not... :-)

Does beer in a keg carbonate from the top down?

I agree. The beer should carbonate at the top surface of the beer since that is the interface between beer and CO2. Now there is a high concentration of CO2 at the top and nothing at the bottom... a gradient exists. The dissolved CO2 should begin to distribute evenly throughout the beer until...

Just FYI...Force Carbing w/ Picnic Taps on

I'm getting ready to keg my first batch using a sanke coupler w/ picnic faucet. I am trying to find out what size the nut is for the beer line connecting to the tap, so I can just isolate the beer out all together. Would that work and does anyone know what size swagelock fits? Thanks all...

    Sam Calagione speaks

I also like the video... I agree working for Sam would be an adventure, unlike the daily boredom of work that many of us suffer. He's a bit "out there" at times which could turn off some of the peeps here... but I'd much rather be around someone like that than the corpse of a boss I have right...

    WLP 051 California V Ale ???

Since this yeast starin came up again, I thought I would update my previous post... The sulfur smell in the house was mostly due to a water leak under my house... yep... sewer water. I currently am fermenting with the WLP051 yeast... there is a sulfur smell... but it's nothing like I had...

HELP!!! I used too much priming sugar

Boom! I would dump all the beer back into a fermentor and put an airlock on it. Be sure to sanitize everything... and then sit back and see what happens. I'd let it ferment for at least a week, take gravity readings before and after a week or more to see whats going on in there. Whatever...

    Keg + Keg Score!

Yesterday I asked a friend who knows a guy who works for one of the local liquor distributors if he could help me get a keg for a keggle conversion. He said he'd look into it. This morning he told me to come by his house and he has both a 1/2 bbl keg and a corny keg... all for $30! :ban:
