    Whatchagot IPA

I tweaked at the last minute... (like always).. the last hop additions are all 1 oz each.. I had 1 oz of Amarillo and 2 oz of Citra.. I mixed them up and then measured out 1oz each. 20,10 and Flame Out.. Should be tasty.. these Columbus hops were home grown.. so depending on the crop.. it might...

I do have Centennial , cascade , amarillo and Columbus and chinook. I'm thinking Columbus/centennial or chinook for the bittering charge.

    Whatchagot IPA

So I wanted to brew today and here's what I got in the grain store for what I wanted to brew. I looked through what I had for hops and I remembered I had some Citra in there and I've never used them before. I've got quite a bit of other hops in the freezer too so the hop schedule is completely...

American Pale Ale Da Yooper's House Pale Ale

This was the fastest Keg that Was taken down in my house. By far one of the best beers I've brewed. My buddy who is getting married this summer wants it at his wedding.. so here I am today jumping into a 10 gallon batch! Thanks Yooper!

Back to Basics... What do you wish you knew before starting AG?

I'm only 5 AG brew days in and Here's what I learned.. without echoing everything mentioned above.. 1. Pre-Measure additions and label them.(hops, Irish Moss, etc.) have them in baggies and/or cups labeled with times. 2. Have a brew day sheet with everything already calculated out on it as...

    First AG Brew Day

It was a combination of a few things. I Batched sparged with 3.5 gallons becuase I ran out of room in the Cooler. I have a few kegs and I'm going to be converting them soon. I didn't leave any trub I strained it all out into the fermenter. That boil was nuts, maybe a bit too much heat but...

I just wrapped up my first AG Brew day. After reading a ton of forums and watching a Ton of Youtube videos on AG I decited to jump in and go for it. I did calculate my efficency at around 74% becuase I only got about 5.5 gallons of wort out of my mash. Needless to say I got some work to do...

    Synthetic keggle conversion

Would that mean that It could handle Mash temps? I was wondering about the shell. It might have a better insulation value than just stainless.

    Synthetic keggle conversion

Here's picutres. I took a picture of the broken part to show the inside materal and it's not coated metal (I wish). It's embossed with Miller brewing Co. It's also full. so I might be able to get it swaped out at a distributor.
