I also have a slight anaphylactic reaction to hard alcohol (mostly vodka and rum, tequila doesn't bother me nor bourbon). If I remember to take an antihistamine (cetirizine, brand name Zyrtec is what I use) before I have any, I'm fine. If I do forget, after the first one the reaction goes away...
