50 Amp circuit, 30 amp BrewBoss controller

I have my doubts, but OK.

50 Amp circuit, 30 amp BrewBoss controller

Based on your presumption of use?

50 Amp circuit, 30 amp BrewBoss controller

Correct. The bottom 240V receptacle and the bottom 120V duplex are essentially in parallel. That one 120V, 20A duplex receptacle is split wired as a multiwire branch circuit. NEC requires both ungrounded wires be opened simultaneously in case of fault or overload on either one. The point of...

    Well, it finally happened

I guess maybe the bigger point is with yeast and sugar it's either going to eventually carb or not. Is there some overriding factor why you can't just let it go longer and see? What's worst case? You dump a month from now vs. today so to speak (or you open a month from now and it's good/better).

What did I cook this weekend.....

Cheating a little since the actual cooking won't be until tomorrow. Roughly 1.5" thick and 22oz give or take.

    Well, it finally happened

Is there much more to be said than already has been? E.g. give it another week or two at least.

50 Amp circuit, 30 amp BrewBoss controller

Yeah, there are all sorts of adaptions people make or buy. What I know is for single receptacle on a circuit NEC says the receptacle rating shall have amp rating not less than the branch circuit. There is an exception for cord and plug connected welders based on their nameplate duty cycle...

50 Amp circuit, 30 amp BrewBoss controller

I completely upgraded the wiring in my garage from 60A subfeed to separately metered 200A service just after MN adopted 2020 Code. Part of that was adding a 240V, 50A circuit. However, due to supply chain issues at the time, MN issued a temporary exemption for the 240V GFI requirement, so...

50 Amp circuit, 30 amp BrewBoss controller

It would be fine so long as the 30A receptacle terminals are rated for 6ga wire, and that a 30A breaker is installed not a 50A breaker.

50 Amp circuit, 30 amp BrewBoss controller

Correct, considering the mention it's recently built house (presuming garage too).

It would be interesting to know the NEC version adopted/enforced in your area, presuming you're in USA. Or, what exemption critera was used. AFAIK/FYI/FWIW 2020 NEC required GFI on 240V circuits in garages amongst other places.

    stale beer in the faucet

If I've not been pouring from my setup for even a full day or two I sacrifice short pour before the real deal.

    Well, it finally happened

I'd think a lump of sugar like the drops would take longer to carb, since the drop has to fully dissolve and disperse and be processed by the yeasties. One week seems to me not long enough to declare failure.

    AIO Warranties

You know you are paying for the warranty as part of the purchase price, yes? Longer warranty isn't inherently an indication of superior quality. It can be a marketing tool and/or a recovery tool, if you will. I have no skin in the game which you buy. Don't know much if any about either...

    Dilution calculation?

    I ended up taking it down to 8%. 14.5 - 8 = 6.5 6.5 × 750 = 4875 4875 / 8 = 609.4ml water added

    Acetobacter concerns?

Got a wild hair and decided to whip up a small batch (1.2L) of red wine vinegar. Since it needs air/oxygen the container is open albeit with a double layer of paper coffee filters covering. After the fact I've already started the red wine vinegar process, I'm wondering what level of concern...

    Dilution calculation?

This should be simple but I'm having a brain fart... I have 750ml of 14.5% alcohol solution that I want to cut back to 10%. How much water to add? I come up with 337.5ml. Seems like a lot so not sure that's correct.
