    So who's brewing this weekend?

I appreciate all your help. I got it installed - super easy and works well. Thank you for answering all my questions and taking physical measurements of the saddle for me.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

If I can install my new RO system from Buckeye hydro probably Friday or Saturday night I'll make a double batch of a pacifico clone.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Brewed a late evening English Mild double batch - one will get OYL-014 (British VII, similar to West Yorkshire). The other will get Windsor. Then decided I wasn't going to clean my kettle and made a double batch of my Gose. One will get raspberries during fermentation and the other fermenter...

Here We Gose Again, Raspberry Gose (Philly Sour)

I am sure you will be fine regarding your mash pH. Sound's like you had a fun brew day otherwise! Always something. my RO water has been tested to be not completely stripped and the sodium/bicarbonates that is what it is. For what you did the water profile is fine. I don't typically touch the...

Here We Gose Again, Raspberry Gose (Philly Sour)

Results from the latest competition. My plain Gose (23G) brought home Silver BOS out of nearly 300 entries. The Raspberry Gose scored 39 and 40 points for consensus 40 points, good enough for Bronze in the BJCP Fruit Beer Category 29A. Received Bronze out of (12) entries. "A well made pleasant...

    What are you drinking now?

My American Wheat - Melon Degenerwheat made with Belma and Huell Melon hops. Bry97 for clean fermentation. Delicious. My wife did not think the name "Wife Wheater" was funny.

Here We Gose Again, Raspberry Gose (Philly Sour)

Sounds like a great plan! You can always add the lorann after kegging or try it in a glass to see if you need it. Honestly at 12-16oz per gallon of finished beer the raspberry is pretty awesome.

Here We Gose Again, Raspberry Gose (Philly Sour)

Nice! Bobby is great for that kind of stuff. Awesome he is local for you. I use a Sanke ball lock adapter with a tri-clamp on my 1/4bbl kegmenter. This is a standard kegmenter that was purchased from a barcade and I took the spear out. Tough to see if stuff is clean, but with my keg cleaner it...

If they've been in the fridge the whole time they'll be fine. I'd pitch 2 packets in your case.

Here We Gose Again, Raspberry Gose (Philly Sour)

I have not. I did listen to a bit of it just now. I followed most of their best practices which seem to incorporate this presentation into it. Ferment at room temp. Let the temp free rise. Do not overpitch or under pitch. That slide says 1-1.5g/liter which is higher than the sachet says, I use...

Here We Gose Again, Raspberry Gose (Philly Sour)

Nice! I haven't been entering too much until recently, but it's possible! Speaking of MASH, they gave me the original bronze medal this one received earlier this year. They have really awesome medals 😎

Here We Gose Again, Raspberry Gose (Philly Sour)

Steve, Go Gators! I think blackberries would do great in this recipe! I would mash them up and freeze them. You could possibly treat it with campden tablets if you'd like, but I have not had any issues with just freezing/mashing/freezing/thawing/dumping. Philly sour works best at room...

    Cleanest lager yeast between 65-72F?

Personally, I'd still rather use 34/70 warm at 65 than Novalager. I was surprised at how well it was at warmer temps. Even better if you put the fermenter in a bucket with some water and toss a couple ice packs in the water right before peak fermentation and then let it free ride from there...

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

If you are going to go that far why wouldn't you just remove the basket and just do a bag? Seems like you'd just be adding extra stuff to clean with limited reward. If you want to do BIAB, I'd probably do it in the kettle with no basket. Or do it within the basket. Those feet in the outside...

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

Depending on the quality of the bag there is absolutely no reason to worry. Photo is from the internet of two different bags hoisted using two different methods. Granted it's not in an AIO system, but I did it this way before getting a false bottom in my old 3 vessel system.

    Brewzilla Gen4 Discussion/Tips Talk

It has been very rare for me to have issues with grain. I know people who have done that BIAB within the malt pipe, it works. Your issues mostly would be remedied by milling less fine and waiting 10-15 minutes before turning the pump on. I have the same unit. I do a single pass mill to credit...

Experienced in beer, but first batch of kit wine coming soon. Stainless Kegmenter?

I was really into better bottles about 10-12 years ago even for my beer. Does anyone make something as good?

Experienced in beer, but first batch of kit wine coming soon. Stainless Kegmenter?

Forgot about those brew buckets. I switched away from glass this time last year when my brew hauler buckle sheared and I dropped my Helles. I got the kegs at a bargain for pressure fermenting and has been awesome. I'll look into those SS brew buckets again.
