    Adding thermometer to Igloo coler???

I used this one from Williams brewing and it's never leaked: https://www.williamsbrewing.com/COOLVIEW-COOLER-THERMOMETER-P3102.aspx

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

A little better lighting - this is pretty exactly Braufessor's grain bill and the hops are citra, mosaic, and Amarillo - delicious!

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

It was an awesome rainbow - actually on the drive home it was a double rainbow worthy of the famous YouTube stoner's meltdown. But the beer had only been carb'd 3 days and I was more interested in drunking it than framing the shot - got my priorities confused I guess.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I was worried that I mashed too low due to some issues I had with my controller, but this came out great! Next time think I'm going to use just a little crystal.

How Long Are You a Beginner?

My son gave me a hat, after one year of home brewing, which reads "master brewer." He liked my beer and it was a nice gesture. I'm embarrassed to wear it out but sometimes do. I've been brewing (quite a lot) on my back porch for two years now. I've paid close attention to detail, done some...

Belgian Golden Strong Ale Duvel Clone

Just saw this and wondered how this turned out for you as I just brewed an AG version of it last weekend. I planned on kegging it but I'm on the fence about bottling at the moment.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Brewing a BGSA this weekend. The Duvel made me do it...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Brewed this today. Pretty much stuck to your grain bill and kept the honey malt. A little trouble with mash temps getting used to new boilcoil in my ebiab... but hit 1.062 OG and pitched WLP0007. All that Citra, Mosaic, and Amarillo sure smelled good. Looking forward to seeing how it comes...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Thanks man but I'm brewing tomorrow so I have all the citra and mosaic I need but I'm subbing Amarillo for galaxy - thoughts?

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I found plenty of Citra, but I'm not finding Mosaic or Galaxy. Any good substitutes?

Help pick my 1st IPA recipe

+1 for bells 2 hearted. Easy recipe, fantastic single hop beer and at batch number 5 I think it's a good one to get your technique dialed in. Are you tweaking your water, doing yeast starters, and controlling ferm temps?

    New BIAB False Bottoms

Bobby, I use your 13" FB in my bayou classic 1044 but I'm going to switch to a boilcoil. That means I'll need to lift the FB 4.5" from bottom. If I can find the right screws and they don't interfere with the element do you see any other issues I might have?

    What are you drinking now?

HB Belgian blond, oysters, and barrel aged quad, yummm...

Looking for raw wheat advice on BIAB witbier

Thanks for reminding me to post that the raw wheat percentage of the total grist is 25%.

Looking for raw wheat advice on BIAB witbier

I know the issue of cereal mashes, decoctions, protein rests, etc. is involved with raw wheat. But I've never used it until this weekend's planned brew. My searching on this site hasn't really answered my main concern, how to split the mashing up. The recipe is basically 5lbs 2 row, 2.5 lbs...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Going to try to refine my white beer this weekend; really love Allagash White so I've got a culture from dregs of a 4-pack on the stir plate.

Belgian Tripel: 3 weeks primary 4 weeks secondary.. more yeast?

That's a lot of sugar for a 5 gal batch and it worries me some that the beer finished out at 1.020. If I were you, I'd box them up and put them in heavy duty plastic bags - hope none of them explodes but have a backup plan in case they do. For next time, they do sell extra strong Belgian bottles.
