We’re actually talking about putting in a beer garden too. Aside from the hops and berries, we’re looking at lavender, chamomile, a hefty variety of mint, ginger, rosemary, sage, and hibiscus, for starters.

I’ve never had to add any priming sugar to the batches I’ve made. The residual sugar and yeast should do the job. Did you happen to filter it? Can’t hurt to add the sugar. If anything it will just act as a back sweetener.

I’ve done that a few times, due to being out of bottles or just not having the time to bottle, and it’s always turned out fine! I can’t remember if it continued to sour or not though, we like ours pretty sour, so if it did I probably wouldn’t have noticed.
