Made my first few batches. Used the reduced yeast pitch protocol per the thread for US05. Upon racking almost no trub (thru the racking tube). Normal? Uncarbed product tasted good so I guess I'm not too worried, but I did expect some. Got none both times.
I'm not under an unlimited plan and I ordered two picopaks on 6/28, they still haven't shipped. I'm in no real rush I guess, but they did charge me. Unacceptable lag time if they are charging at ordering instead of at shipping.
Are they just retail fronts and the shipments are still processed with the pico delays of a few weeks? Are they expedited and still ship from pico? Or do they actually have stock?

Make a one gallon batch, pitch yeast wait a few days.
Make 4 gallon batch scaling linearly. Combine both the 1 gallon and 4 gallon batches.
Then BOOM you have BOMM.
My Pico S upgrade is in transit now. Any early indication on where the 'brewers choice' pack have landed for folks? I'm figuring one of the Pico branded recipes and not one of the partner paks.
Made this as my first mead. Used fresh apricots in primary and secondary. Used vanilla extract as I had trouble finding beans. Vanilla got blown out, but otherwise this turned out amazing. Drinkable in 30 days and I can't wait to see where this ends up by Christmas.

Thanks for the reply and update. My wife and like 80% of her friends are Asian so this will be fun to gift and a conversation starter at parties. Might try longan, jackfruit, or mangosteen if I'm able to execute on this.
