Hmmm good guess with the hop debris... I used pellet good as well which is also a first time for me.. usually prefer whole leaf..it smells great at this point
Just a few days into primary fermentation of a black IPA. First pic the Kraus is forming as normal with some yeast (dark brown on the foam). But, in the second pic there is a yellow that I have never seen before...any ideas what that is??

How long did you folks leave this in the primary fermenter before moving to secondary? My hydrometer broke the other day so I'm trying this one by feel

Is there any kind of chart that breaks this knowledge of hops and hop schedules? or is this all just from experience? Making hop schedules is a giant puzzle to me at the moment
Are there any threads on here that delve into calculating efficiency and all that fun stuff a bit deeper? I am newish to brewing and ready to start diving into the more technical aspects.
I ran out of table sugar and didn't have time to run out and grab some. I'm doing a 1 gallon batch so I did a pound of each.
As for the yeast I used s-05 and it doesn't seem to be bubbling as much as it should for how much sugar is in there....
