QD Faucet Assembly? Anyone have one?

I gotcha. I do like that idea of all metal. Seems like pulling on a tap like that that with the moment loading, that plastic probably can't last too long. I'll see how it goes and move from there. Thanks for your input.

QD Faucet Assembly? Anyone have one?

Hey guys, I like the idea of having an actual tap right on my ball lock keg. However, wouldn't this basically just pour foam since there is no length of hose to reduce the foam? See the link for what I'm talking about. I'd sure like to just haul a keg out to the patio, set up my little...

    Help Me Fix My Fridge!

Well, I've plugged the outgoing vents that feed the freezer so more cfm from the fan is directed towards the fridge. Problem solved. I set the freezer at warmest and the fridge at coldest and when I came back to the office this morning the temperature was at a brisk 30 degrees. I've since...

    Help Me Fix My Fridge!

Well, I think it is due to circulation issues. I pulled the back panel off the covers the coils in the back of the freezer. Half of them were frozen over and the circulation fan was not moving. I touched the fan with my finger and the fan started humming away. I think this points to a bad...

    Help Me Fix My Fridge!

Hey everyone, lemme know what you think. I have a rather old over/under style fridge that I want to make my all around beer fridge except it has a problem. The freezer portion of the thing is sitting at about 14*F while the fridge portion is only able to make it down to about 55 or so...

    May have pitched too warm...

My IR gun is saying that my primary is at about 66 degrees in it's first day of fermenting and my secondary is sitting at about 64 degrees after 3 weeks of fermenting. Guess that'll have to do for now.

    Hmmm...White Spots?

Thanks for the help guys. The bubbles just kind of dispersed about a day after I posted. At first glance though, I thought it was mold for sure!

    May have pitched too warm...

Just curious. Do all of you people use a dedicated fridge for fermenting? How do you keep these low temps for weeks on end? The coldest place I can keep my batch is in our server room at work where it stays about 68 degrees. If I were at home, the lowest I could ferment would be at about...

    May have pitched too warm...

I brewed some ESB last night. I used a wort chiller to get my wort down to temp before I transfered to primary and pitched my yeast. Used White Labs liquid English Ale yeast in the tube. I thought I had the temp down to about 78-80 degrees before I pitched but when I went to look at my...

    Hmmm...White Spots?

Hey guys, so I've been brewing up at the office lately and just racked into my secondary beginning of last week. I checked on the batch before I left Friday afternoon and the it looked the same as it had all week. Not much going on, pretty dormant really... The surface of the beer was...

    Variation in Fermenting Temps

I was wondering what the effects of say, a 10 degree F temperature variance while fermenting in the primary would/could have on a brew? For example, when I racked to primary my buddies and I originally placed the batch in a closet in our break room at the office. However, this room is usually...
