Cloning HopHands by Tired Hands Brewing Company

Subscribed. I'm from the area and tired hands is awesome. Hop hands is probably my favorite brew of theirs. Delicious. They seem to love Amarillo there which I have no complaints about.

Need help with a WW2 IPA series

Perhaps for the Italian beer you could add a little anise seed to the boil.

    Blood Orange IPA

Been considering making a blood orange IPA as well. My plan wast to zest a couple blood oranges and add it to the boil and/or secondary. Was going to use WLP400 Belgian Wit Ale yeast to try and get that tartness that come with blood oranges. Perhaps Citra or Cascade for the hops. Hope this...

    Graham cracker extract

There is a lot of good feedback/discussion in the pumking clone thread about the graham cracker extract. I put two drops in a 5.5 gallon batch and never tasted anything significant. Would not use again with folks reporting a bad metallic after taste. IMO, I see what you can come up with going...

    Using apricots

I brewed up a Magic Hat #9 clone last year and used 3 lbs of the Vintners Harvest Apricot puree. I added the puree to the secondary. I'm pretty sure the yeast during initial stages of primary would kill most of the flavor. That's all I got. Hopefully someone can fill in the rest for you.

    II IPA Recipe Critique

I switched the hop schedule up with some more late additions of Amarillo. Dropped the Ahtanum. I originally had Amarillo in there but my LHBS was out of them. I'll post the revised recipe later when I get home. Don't mind a malty beer but not exactly sure that is what I was going for with this...

    II IPA Recipe Critique

Thanks for weighing in. I agree with moving the ahtanum hops. I want this beer to have a strong hoppy aroma (Bell's Hopslam one of my favorite beers) so I think I'm also going to drop the cascade at 40 and 30 and focus more on the late addition aroma hops.

    Southern Tier Pumking Clone??

I went with gwdlaw's recipe on page 20 and I did use the capella graham cracker extract. That recipe called for a tsp of it and after hearing about all the bad metallic after tastes I only put 2 drops in the secondary. I cracked one open about two weeks after bottling because I couldn't wait any...
