    Off Flavor after Dry Hopping?

I was taught not to squeeze the hop bag. But per the other suggestions, I would carbonate and let it condition for a couple of weeks before judging if its drinkable. Some of those flavors may dissipate.

I use the jacket. It does the job. I have used both for keeping the temp up (for a saison) and keeping the temp down (lager). It's well constructed so should last.

Apologies for the late response. I bought the shelf on amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0025U1AIY/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 The Fridge/Freezer is a Frigidaire Gallery Convertible Fridge/Freezer-FGVU21F8QF

Thanks. The wheels are a bit weird but figured it was on the inside!

BTW, your set up posting was one of the original inspirations for going down the upright route. I got really lucky that I could pick up this floor model for a reasonable price (has a few small dents and dings on the side). It has its own temp control, so could avoid modding for that part at least.

LOL. A man after my own heart. Actually on the inside are plastic ridges for the removable door shelves. That limited the width of the taps. The Nitro stouts sit just between the taps below and further away from the door so that they don't drip on them. I have room for a third on that row...

I used a SS trolly that I bought on amazon. Check out the build:https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=565925&highlight=upright

I used liquid chalk pens. Available on Amazon. I tried to use one of those blackboard stick on surfaces but could never get it right (always had bubbles). Just decided to write straight on the surface. Comes off clean with a paper towel.

I had to use the casters to get the height right. They have a lock on the wheels so it does not move.

    CMB V3S faucet

I have used the CMB's but decided to go with the Perlick flow controls. I like the fact that filling growlers is a lot easier with the flow control feature. Both very good quality though

Finished! Added two Stout Taps, beer gas and regulator and a secondary regulator with 3 individually adjustable psi's. Can now run 5 different carbonation levels and 8 different taps. Have room for one more tap but for now want to keep co2 and beer gas inside the fridge (to avoid more...

One other thing you can do is attach the racking tube assembly for the first couple of days to let the initial trube out. I have found that if you leave it too long, the trube can block the hole into the ball. Not a big deal, a bit of tapping and turning the valve knob a few times loosens the...

Agreed. I overtorqued two bolts using my electric drill. Slow down the drill speed in the last inch or hand tighten at the end. I love these. After having broken two glass carboys (user error), I now only use these. I like the fact that I don't have to transfer to a secondary and that the...

All above 1.060, some of the porters and IPA's above 1.070. Definitely necessary for the 1.070's plus but I like to make a starter every time to make sure that the Yeast is working and healthy before pitching.
