BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

All, my BrewPi solution has been working great for many years, but I just had one of my SainSmart Arduino UNO's fail. It does not seem that the SainSmarts are available anymore, so just inquiring which UNO's folks are buying now and have had good luck with.

Sweet! I know there is always a ton of stuff to do and never enough time. Let me know if I can assist in any way when you are able to get to it.

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Got it. I am not sure what all you did in the glycol branch of the firmware, but I wonder if you could use the standard Rev C firmware, set Kp, Kd, and Ki to zero, use Fridge Constant mode and only the Fridge probe to accomplish the same thing?

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

duncan.brown - So you basically have an on/off control, right? What are your settings to achieve this ... did you just change Kp=0? Also, are you running a different "beta" code base specific for your experiment or are you achieving this with the latest release. I agree on the "win" of just...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I do not believe Remix has any remote logging out to Brewfather (I have used it with BrewPiLess). Is there any activity or thought to add this to Remix?

Yes I did, but thanks for checking. On Buster it is at /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart ... and no changes needed to the original pir_run.py file

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

*** DISREGARD, I figured it out *** Can someone send me a version of @day_trippr pir_run.py file that they have running properly on Buster with the updated version of Python. PIR is functioning properly, but the pir_run.py script is throwing the following error: No protocol specified...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Thanks. Any changes needed to the python script to make it compliant with the latest version? Also, is the path to the autostart file the same or has that changed in Buster?

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Is it also a requirement to actually have Flow Meters configured before the PIR will work? After installing Flow Meters, rpints.log file just shows that it can't find them and makes no mention of the motion detector status. Net/net, I just want rpints with the PIR. No flow Meters, No RFID...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Day_Trippr or Tobor_8thman - If installing the Tobor_8thman version, can one of you point me in the direction of how to properly setup/configure the PIR with xscrensaver?

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

No, I did NOT install flow meters. Got it ... I will do that and see what happens. I do not have flow meters, but I choose to install them anyway? Is there a command I can use to just install them, or do I need to start over with a clean install?

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

As part of the install script you will be prompted if you want to use Flow Meters or not.
