    First taste of my brew

That was the thought, letting it sit longer in a secondary. I have only pulled a few pints from it which were fully carbed. I think I am going to leave it alone for another week or so sitting on 12psi then see how she tastes. Would that cause any problems with conditioning?? ie; in the fride...

    First taste of my brew

Well I am pleased. This is actually my second batch. I ran 2 different batches within a day. One was bottled and left to condition and the other kegged after 2 weeks in primary. I pulled my first pint just a few ago and I gotta say not bad. I do taste a since of "greenness" to it though. I...

    couple of keg aging questions

Kind of had the same thought. After it's been in the primary for 2 weeks siphon to the keg, put it on 12psi and be ready to pour in another week? I would like to free up 1 of my fermenters by tossing it straight to the keg. I have 3 kegs on the same regulator so I think this will be the best...

    Show us your Kegerator

Well here's my little beauty. Will hold 6 but only have 3 for now. Pouring Terrapin Golden Ale and Blue Moon for now until my first batch is ready to be kegged. I have this funny feeling that I will end up with more kegs for my brews

    First batch newbie question

LOL good deal. I have been reading a few books about brewing and some REALLY make you think if you aren't super carefully about ALL KINDS of different little things then your brew is ruined. I didn't think that this would cause a problem, just wanted to hear some veteran brewmasters opinions:)...

    First batch newbie question

yea it's a mismatch bucket lid combo, but heck the bucket and lid are the same size just different brands.....Anyway will this lack of seal disturb the flavor or add too much oxygen, airborne bacteria, bad juju to the batch? As long as it comes out alright I won't mind....just this one time;)

    First batch newbie question

Thanks for all of the insight! By the cold break comment I meant that after the 60 minute boil it took 15 minutes to go from boiling to 65*. Was unsure if that was too long or if it may have effected the fermentation. As of now I will be happy with a good tasting brew, not too concerned on...

    First batch newbie question

Thanks man, yea I think I may be a little impatient as of now, just needed someone else to pat me on the back and say that it would all be okay:D:D I was going to stay in the primary for 2 weeks then transfer straight to the keg and let it sit another week or so before force carbonation. I am...
