Just hook up to an empty keg. Set pressure pretty high, I'm in the 30 to 40 psi range then just open the tap and let the co2 blow the excess water/sanitizer out.
Some would say a waste of co2, but I see it as saving on replacing moldy lines. Plus I have a 20 lb. tank so not much loss for...

The example was from Fat Heads Headhunter IPA, but I want to try the Stone 14th Anniversary IPA. The Fathead IBU target is 87. Guess I forgot to mention that as it looks like it is a big contributing factor.
Hi guys. Dumb question. Does BeerSmith have a way to convert hops by percent like the grain percent option? The recipes in Mitch Steele's IPA book has hops listed at a percent. Or how do I figure out %?

Took a stab at my first cider. I'd say so far, so good. Here is the rundown:
5 gallons local pasturized cider
4lbs. brown sugar
White Labs English Cider yeast
Starting gravity 1.065
Gravity now 1.018
Right now it is tasting more like wine/champagne than cider...
I'm currently fermenting a Belgian White and used a White Labs Belgian Wit strain. I did a yeast starter and it started to take off after only a few hours. I've been in the primary for a week now and it's still going strong. My OG was 1.067 and I'm at 1.027 now.
