    Expect a burnt flavor...you might be able to call it a smoke beer...or not. If your lucky, it will just have strong Carmel flavor. Either way, it will be drinkable!

    Sounds great! Continually hop additions are the way to go! Drop the Northern Brewer in secondary and use Amarillo or Cascade so things flow.

    Not necessarily, but very common in stouts. Steep and your good for color...true. cheezydemon3...chocolate malt in combination with roasted barley is common amongst NHC.
