Was GIFTED a small Traeger. Any tips and tricks from the crew?

Vacuum out the ash in the firepot after about every 15hrs of cooking. Some pellets create more ash than others and too much ash will make it turn off in the middle of a cook. Costco for a huge roll of heavy-duty foil, a stack of disposable aluminum pans, large container of Pork Barrel dry rub...

    Any soap makers around here?

When my second kiddo was born he had super sensitive skin. We struggled to find diapers and soaps that wouldn't irritate him. I'd already been interested in soap making since we were trying to be more sustainable in our home, so I decided to try to make some soap. It worked great for him and now...

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

Smoked a whole spatchcocked chicken with this recipe to practice for Christmas and it was one of my favorite things I’ve made. Cheap ($10), quick (<2 hours) and straightforward (325 the whole time). Served with some Alabama white sauce and it was some of the best chicken I ever had.

    Other hobbies ?

I like to dabble in a lot of things and have enough hobbies and interests that I can't devote the time or expense to really get into anything hardcore. Price I pay for being curious about pretty much everything. Some of the more 'niche' I guess would be: Cardcrafting. Bicycle touring. Canoeing.
