    MW Noble Trappist

    So I have an update/question. Like I said above, I brewed on the 28th and I still have a pretty active airlock, this is the longest I have had a airlock bubble. Has anyone else had their airlock for this recipe go this long? I have a ambient room temp of about 66-68 degrees.

    I have did many kits from Midwest Supplies and have never been dissapointed. The support you recieve is also really good. I personally like there Altbier, I know you said you were looking for an IPA type though.

    I believe Deer Park has changed there plastic to PET. I would only use them as a secondary.

    I was getting ready to buy a 5 Gallon Better Bottle and noticed that they look almost identical to Deer Park Water Jugs. Has anybody ever used a 5 Gallon jug? And, if so, did the #10 stoppers work or do they need to be modified? I have access to Deer Park Jugs for free, thats why I'm asking.

    MW Noble Trappist

    I brewed a Noble Trappist Kit from MW last night and my OG was approx. 1.050, does that sound right? The temp of the wort at the time was probably around 80-90 degrees, is there an adjustment I need to make, or does the 1.050 sound right? Also, what is a target FG?

    6 lbs. Munich liquid malt extract 12 oz. Caramel 10L, 4 oz. Chocolate Malt specialty grains 2 oz. Crystal 1 oz. Hallertau pellet hops WYeast 1007 Pitched on 12/8 now my gravity it about 1.010 (I think, I'm still getting used to reading the Hydro) Temp is about 68 or so degrees in the room

    I have a altbier kit from MidWest Sup in the fermenter now (5+ gallons). After reading on here the last few days it seems that I should have used two smack packs when I pitched.     Thats almost exactly what mine did. It is about 1.011 or so now, it started about 1.058 or 1.059. Thanks, thats the kind of info I was hoping somebody could give me.

    I have a 5 gallon batch of altbier I brewed on Wed Dec 8th and pitched Wyeast 1007. The air lock went crazy for the first few days, now I have nothing. The temp on the therm strip on the bucket says 68-70 degrees. Should I be worried that the yeast has stalled?

    Is 4 year old Blueberry Beer in a corny keg still good?

    We moved right after I put it on tap and it has been sitting in storage and I just found it. I would think it is bad but I will still probably try it.
