    Coopers dark ale

Hello all I'm going to be purchasing the coppers dark ale kit soon, but I was wondering, with this kit, as it's not lager, do i still need to prime it with the carbonation drops? Or does this specific kit not require that? Also, I want to make it stronger than 5%. Any tips on how to do so...

    Is my 1st batch ruined?

All it says is "if digested drink milk" but I'd imagine that was if I drank more than a little patch lol. Might just chuck it and start fresh :(

    Is my 1st batch ruined?

I don't think it is no. Only for the fact that when I was originally sterilising them it looked the same :) as this in my bottle. There was some at the bottom also. After I poured it. I assumed this was just the sediment etc. The brand I am using is TVM. or something like that. Thanks

    Is my 1st batch ruined?

Morning folks, Ok my 1st batch of beer was bottled a while back. I cleaned and sterilised all 45 of my bottles etc I opened one last night, it tasted good, it wasnt very fizzy or foamy though. I have put that down to just one carbonation drop instead of 1 and half (500ml bottles). I had 3...

    Low OG

Haha cheers for the response guys. So if it hasn't mixed, does that mean its just the reading that has come out wrong, as opposed to the brew it's self? If you know if you know what I mean.

    Low OG

I was actually thinking that while stirring. It won't be the same. I took the reading from the tap on it though and the brew was still a swirly. Could be why :). It's just I said add yeast ASAP haha.

    Low OG

The 21 litres mark is just so you have two litres to get it warmer/cooler depending. Gives you a bit of leeway

    Low OG

The temp at the time was 22c/72f. It is just malt extract yeah. Just a tin. Added two litres of boiling water, poured in the extract then added the brew enhancer. Stirred till it dissolved and then topped up to the 23 litre mark with cold water then took the reading. It keeps varying though...

    Low OG

Hello all again. Right I've just made my coopers European lager and the original gravity was 1035 (has since changed to 1030). Is that normal? Just seems low with people quoting 1042 etc? The thing is I made a normal coopers lager a couple of weeks ago and the OG on that was also 1036. Do you...

    Coopers european lager

Ello Has anyone used this kit? If so what experiences have you had? It says to leave it bottled for 13 weeks for best results, but at the moment all my bottles are full with my first batch ;). Can anything go wrong at all if I leave it in the fomenter for a prolonged period? Say a month maybe...
