True TDD-1 kegerator: coils in side walls?

I have the above mentioned kegerator, and would like to drill a hole in the side to feed a beer gas line inside. Currently, I have a CO2 line running through a hole in the lower back wall. That hole was already there, I think it is used by the thermostat. For beer gas ( CO2/ nitro mix), I...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

To answer my own question: I edited the Arduino sketch (raspberrypints.ino), line 68: if ( pulseCount[i] > 100 ) { //filter out any tiny bursts to if ( pulseCount[i] > 30 ) { //filter out any tiny bursts I guess for my meter, it outputs way fewer bursts than the Swiss Flow Meter...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I'm using flow meters that are very similar to the Adafruit meters. I've changed the following line in /includes/pours.php $amount = $PULSE_COUNT / 21120; to $amount = $PULSE_COUNT / 1500; and it gives me pretty accurate pours. HOWEVER, pours under 8 or 9 oz don't register. Is...

3 tap or 2 tap tower????

Thank is my triple tap tower. It WAS a single tap, I added the additional taps myself. Just need a hole saw and some tower shanks. Whether you roll your own or buy it, go for 3 taps for sure! Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    Irish Stout Guinness Draught Clone

I put this recipe into Beersmith, and it shows a lower than anticipated colour of 21.3 SRM, which is really a dark brown. Looking at youngdh's final product, that does seem to be the case. I believe that there are some roasted barleys that are significantly darker than the 300L that Beersmith...

    Perlick 4-tap Install Help

I agree with day_trippr. For the top of a keezer, you can use a fan to blow cold air up into the tower to keep the beer lines cold. Ditch the glycol lines. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    Cleaning a Charred Element

I did something similar with my element. I would recommend just boiling and discarding some water a few times in the kettle to get rid of the last few bits that might come off when the element is heated. My setup has been working fine since that occurred. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

How much wort remains in your kettle after draining?

I'm currently playing around with my kettle pickup tube, trying to minimize losses in the kettle (wort that is left behind after draining the kettle from the bulkhead). I have a 10 gal flat bottom pot, and was using a hop stopper with the stainless steel centre pickup tube. I thought I was...
