How hard is it to get one of these syrup extract kits out of your kegs? Does it make a horrible mess or is this easy enough to clean up I won't notice it in the next batch of beer?

Aside of "make beer". ;) My buddy turned me onto this site for the grain group buys. So lets say I buy a huge bag of grain. Anyone roast it themselves? Any tips on that? How about storage? Should I be looking at the pilsen or the generic two row? Does one roast better than the other...
