    recarbing old still cider

    The backround...I made a few batches of various types of ciders ( brown sugar, honey, ect) the long and short is they never carbed up. there a couple yrs old. I pull out a couple from time to time but I think they would be better bubbly. .could I try and keg them or would all that pouring cause...

    apfel wine and wild grapes?

    they're grape color:D redish i guess. so i smash a couple pounds then pour the juice mixed with a tab and wait a day or 2 then pitch my yeast? or is there another way? i'm making 5 gal batches and separating 1 gallon off that to put on the grapes.

    I'm going to start another batch of apfel and i got a grocery bag full of grapes from my buddy's back yard. not sure what kind they are but they're tasty little buggers. not sure how much to put in a gallon jar with the cider? 1#? 2#? does anyone have a good starting point? they're frozen now so...

    should be fine. make a starter with the vial and put some more in there for next time.thats what i do when practical.

    2010 Hop Harvest

    last year i got 1-3/4 pounds wet off my 1st yr cascade turned out to 7-1/4 oz dried. this year it should triple.

    Angle Grinder for Keg

    i cut a couple of keg lids off w/the HF air grinder, use the back of the grinder and trace around the coupler for a guide cuts a perfect hole no need for a jig. wear your safety gear!

    mine spewed out a gallon give or take. a foamy gallon takes up more space than one would think lemme tell ya.

    no love here either, i caught 6 of them and am watchin them grow but not on my hops! those critters can eat a good sized leaf in a couple hrs, it wouldn't take them long to destroy the plant.

    i have those caterpillars too and from what i found out there are Question Mark caterpillars. whose diet includes hops and other trees
