I'm getting ready to brew a Rye IPA, when I bought the ingredients, the supplier told me I could either do a starter or double pitch, and I decided to just double pitch, since I hadn't done a starter before. Since then I have done my first starter with decent success.

Follow up... The batch came out just fine, much better than my first two batches. Has little sharpness to it that I wouldn't always expect out of a hef, but I've paid for worse beers, so all in all I call it a win.
