    Sanitize Coopers new PET bottles?

    I agree, I used bleach to sanitize the FV and everything else touching the brew. I rinsed for about 30 minutes to get rid of the bleach smell, and then a final rinse with bottled water. The only thing is I am a little paranoid about the tap water, sometimes it is not always clear.

    I think he is talking about the Krausen Collar. You don't have to take it out, but after 3 days or when the foam has cleared your can remove it before the yeast drys on the side. Just makes it easier to clean and more head room in case of excessive foam.

    In primary for 7 days now but bright white spots are starting to form on top. Sample does taste fine though. I am very new to brewing and to this board, any help appreciated.
