How do you drink your Apfelwein?

Blended with a Stout! Very nice!

    Peach taste?

I just had it in a batch of Haus Pale Ale using -05. It was a welcome addition, but has actually faded in a short amount of time. (Ferment temps were 60 degrees.)

My friends don't care for my homebrew

I'm lucky. My friends enjoy the hell out of what I brew. There's one that pisses and moans about the selection sometimes, but the others give him directions to the store down the street and remind him the store has plenty of choices down there that he can pay for, and leaves them more homebrew...

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

FWIW.... I brewed 5 gallons on Halloween. Bottled on the seventh. Drank two last night (day 10). Fully carbed. Excellent head. With retention. Nice lacing on the glass. Clear enough to read newsprint through. Carb was in solution....remained in solution to the bottom of the glass. Very...

How about the sanitation of the lines and tap?

    Pump Recommendations

I know the biggest recommended one is the March pump. Food grade. As far as flow rate..I've seen different ones. I'm sure someone will be along to give us the right answer.

    Do you ever drink BMC?

I had to go through six or so pages to find a fellow compatriot that consumes Old Milwaukee...and a fellow bay denizen at that! :rockin: My brother in law and I conducted a not so scientific "Cheap Off" study this summer. The theory was there has/had to be something to these cheap beers...

What's your least favorite micro brewery?

I agree. I was skeptical of my first taste of 1554 because of the huge let-down on the Fat Tire. I was given a glass while I was preparing food at an outdoor event, and I just took it, listened to the giver prattle on about it, and set myself to "do the polite thing after I tasted this...

Thin white film floating in secondary?

I haven't a clue. I do know it didn't affect the taste, smell, or appearance of the beer..so I just wrote it off as a by product of fermentation. To be fair, the last two batches I did with Wyeast Smack Packs had it. The last batch I did was a pack of Nottingham, and didn't have it. I have a...

What's your least favorite micro brewery?

+1. I finally had one in September, and I found it to be lacking. Couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Their 1554 however, is another story. That is one good damn beer....(at least to me :D)

Thin white film floating in secondary?

I've had this film a couple of times. Beer was fine. Carry on.

    New Michelob varietes

I've had the new Fall Pack. That has: Pale Ale, Bavarian Hefe, Porter, and Rye P.A.. Of the four, new flavors are the Rye, and Bavarian Hefe. The Rye is okay, the Hefe is better than expected. Good Banana/Clove ester. It's apropriate for the style. Good way to indoctrinate newbs into...

    Irish Stout Ó Flannagáin Standard

I shot for 1.7-2.0 volume of carbonation. While the beer is good. I feel I'd enjoy it better with more carbonation. I plan on adding more next time around.
