Bagby in Carlsbad is really good. They make some of their own and serve a bunch of local stuff as well. Good food too. Also Pizza Port is fun (decent beer, good pizza). I also enjoyed Bolt brewing in Little Italy, San Diego last time I was there.

Never put "cat piss" to the flavor of simcoe...but now that you mention it I can smell it in there. Am I weird for liking cat piss in my beer now?

I'm having the same issue wonder if it is squirrels, I was thinking it was birds. If it is squirrels is there any kind of squirrel repellant? Last year my hops produced beautifully but this year even though the plant looks very healthy...nothing...could it be squirrells eating the hops too...

Brewed this today. I'm a biab brewer. Ended up with 10.73 SG. A little more efficient than I anticipated. Made a 1 L starter with the Pacman yeast and it fizzed out of the top of the flask when I shook it up. About ready to pitch...looking forward to tasting ths clne. RDG is one of my favorite...
