Belgian Dubbel - Belgian High Gravity yeast not starting

Why would it be too late to pitch yeast again? I too have a Belgian Dubble that is not starting, but it has just been overnight and temps were kind of cool. In two days, if there is no fermentation, is it feasible to pitch yeast again? If I start a starter now, it would go in at...

Using lager yeast with ale kit?

I ordered White Labs Bavarian Bock yeast that claims to do well at 48 degrees. Thanks for the advice. I'll report how the beer turns out.

Using lager yeast with ale kit?

Okey dokey! Here's my dilemma. I have two kits from NB: the Three-Hearted Ale and the Belgian Double Ale. I live in a cold cabin in the middle of the woods in West Virginia. I am pining for some home brew. But the old cabin is regularly between 45-60 degrees when I am not home and a fire is...

Keggle Beer Supply on eBay is an honest trader

Just thought I would pass along that I had a good experience with the Keggle Beer Supply ebay store. Bought two corny kegs. Weeks after I bought the kegs I discovered one had a bad relief valve. The dude had a new lid in the mail the next day. Just thought I'd pass it along.

    Successful first batch!!

I Had no idea what I was doing. I ordered the kit not even aware that it was a 2-stage beer. I knew I needed cold temps but it was the end of winter so no problem. I used crystal clear "crick water" from out back and cooled the wort in the ice cold stream. Just kept moving the beer to colder...

I haven't figured it out yet. There's so much from which to choose. I'm on my second glass right now and i couldn't be happier. Nice head, great taste - maybe I'll make the same pils again!:fro:

Czech pils from Northern brewers. Didn't use secondary - just left in primary for two months. Put in a corny keg yesterday @ 22 psi and shook it occasionally. Took my first taste just now and it is EXCELLENT!!:ban::ban: Haven't had good brew since I left Germany. :rockin: Yeeehah!:drunk...
