    Show us your Kegerator

You need to find an International Harvester fridge. I've been searching for years and haven't found one yet. Someone on this board has one for a kegerator.

Wife vs Fermentation - She always wins.

That is true if you have a fossil fuel furnace I assumed perhaps wrongly that he had a heat pump. If you lower the temp just 2 degrees the electric heat strips have to come on to catch up. They are expensive to operate. It's less expensive to let the compressor do the work.

Wouldn't it be more energy efficient to leave the heat on anyways? Most of the time lowering the thermostat more than 2 degrees costs more. Assuming you have some insulation. I really didn't know temps in Baton Rogue would get cold enough to cool a house down to 55 during the day.

    Using a burner indoors...

Of course, I'm not referring to that system. I don't believe the catalyst does anything to the CO2, it may reduce CO via more efficient combustion. I have never seen a catalyst on one. Setzer_777 I agree with your points. The kerosene heaters I've been around produce more pollutants...

    Using a burner indoors...

    seriously?

    Using a burner indoors...

I'm going to somewhat disagree with the other replies. Plenty of people heat their homes with kerosene heaters that give off the same emissions as the propane. They run them constantly, even over night so I doubt the concentration of co or co2 from 1 brew will be any worse. CO and CO2...

    Largest 110V Breaker?

Definitely a code violation and dangerous to put a 40a breaker on an standard outlet. Max is 20. IMO you should take Jeff's advise and let him walk you thru this.

    13 gal carboy

One of my relatives had it. I ask them what it was used for and they said it was an acid container. I think some good cleaning and it will be fine. I haven't done any 10 gal batches yet but probably will.

    13 gal carboy

Trust me I do not plan on moving it full. I may just keep it as a conversation piece. It's definitely a carboy and not a demijohn.

    13 gal carboy

I recently acquired a large carboy. It holds about 13 gallons. Does anyone know what these were used for? I'm wondering if it would be ok to use as a fermenter. I've let it soak for about a year (changing periodically) full of purple stuff. Even though it looks clean.

New Carboy-glass? ok just to sanitize?

I here you on trying to be green. I've been filling the carboy but then reusing the solution to sanitize other things. Usually I keep a large rubbermaid plastic bin to put the solution in for reuse.

    Good Pubs in London?

That sounds good. Thanks for the replies. Good info keep it coming. Tim

    Good Pubs in London?

Is that 5 US $ for a pint? When I said expensive I really was referring to the weakness of the dollar compared to the pound. The whole trip will be expensive. If that is 5 pounds I be paying almost $10 US. Thanks, Tim

    Good Pubs in London?

I hopefully will be going on a trip to London. Does anyone have person experience with good pubs over there. I know this will be expensive so I'm trying to plan ahead and find the best places. Thanks, Tim
