I've got a Tripel in a 5 gallon bucket Fermentor that is overflowing. Krausen has gone into the bubbler and is spilling onto the lid. Any reasons and/or suggestions? This is my fourth home brew, first Tripel and I've not seen this.
I'm wanting to do a secondary fermentation and don't have a carboy in hand or the money to get one. Would it hurt to use large bucket, 5 or 6 gallons, to do it in? I'm told the seal won't be as good. What are talks thoughts?
I bottled this past weekend. I went to get my hydrometer and it had busted so I didn't get to take a gravity reading. I'll be getting a new one soon. Can't wait to taste the finished product!

I've got a batch of IPA that's been fermenting for a week and a day. There's not been any activity in the bubbler so I peeked inside the bucket. The krausen that had built up is gone mostly and the FG has been consistent for two days. I don't want anything to go wrong or spoil but don't want to...
I found y'all looking for answers to a question about the fermentation of my first home brew. An IPA that has been going a little over a week now. Looks like it might be ready for bottling tomorrow.
